Xiaomi G20 Lite: Is This 18,000Pa Cordless Vacuum Worth It for a Small Home?

Cordless vacuums look simple enough: grab one, press the button and start cleaning. But once you open Shopee, there are too many models and the “Pa” numbers keep getting bigger, which makes it hard to tell what actually suits your home.
If you are looking at the Xiaomi G20 Lite, this model sits in an interesting spot for smaller homes or anyone who wants a second vacuum for quick daily cleaning. We have not tested this unit hands-on; the assessment below is based on Xiaomi’s official specifications and a Shopee listing checked on 8 October 2026.

Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G20 Lite — MY Version
Listing price when checked: RM599 · Store: E PLUS Gadget Store
The listing states that this is the Malaysian version and highlights 18,000Pa suction, one-touch dust disposal and long battery life. Shopee prices and stock can change at any time.
Is 18,000Pa enough for a small home?
High suction figures are easy to market, but real-world usefulness depends more on your flooring and what you usually clean. For everyday dust, hair, small crumbs on hard floors and sofa crevices, the G20 Lite’s specifications look reasonable for quick cleaning without dragging out a corded vacuum.
If your home has a lot of thick carpet or you expect to run maximum power for long periods, that is a different story. Xiaomi lists Turbo-mode runtime at around 15 minutes, so this model makes more sense as a lightweight daily cleaner than as a heavy-duty machine for long deep-cleaning sessions.
Is the white light on the floor head actually useful?
This is one of the more practical features compared with another headline specification. The light at the front of the electric brush helps reveal dust under sofas, along cabinet edges and in areas that can look clean under normal room lighting.
It does not make the vacuum more powerful, but it can make missed dust easier to see. In homes with tile or laminate flooring, that can be more useful than simply adding another attachment.
At 2.4kg, it is light — but not ultra-light
A 2.4kg net weight is still reasonable for a cordless vacuum, but do not expect it to feel like a tiny handheld car vacuum. With the extension tube and electric brush attached, the weight is still noticeable, especially when cleaning curtains, fans or higher surfaces.
If the user has wrist issues or wants something that can be held up for a long time, the real operating weight deserves more attention than suction power alone.
Who is the 0.55L dust bin best for?
A capacity of roughly 0.55L is fine for apartments, condos or homes that get a quick clean almost every day. The benefit is that the bin stays compact. The trade-off is that larger homes or homes with a lot of pet hair may need more frequent emptying.
The G20 Lite includes one-touch dust disposal, which makes emptying easier. Even so, the filter still needs to be checked and cleaned according to the instructions so airflow does not gradually drop.
Five-stage filtration does not mean a dust-free home
Xiaomi states that its five-stage filtration system can filter 99.9% of particles within specified test conditions. That can help reduce fine particles escaping back out of the vacuum, but it is not a substitute for an air purifier and it is not a guarantee for any specific allergy condition.
If you are sensitive to dust, proper filter installation, regular cleaning and timely replacement matter more than the marketing number alone.
So, who should consider the Xiaomi G20 Lite?
It makes the most sense for: apartments or smaller homes, tile or laminate floors, users who want quick daily cleaning, anyone who prefers a grab-and-go cordless vacuum, and people who like the front light for spotting dust.
It may be less suitable if: you want to use Turbo mode for long periods, have a very large home, lots of thick carpet, or want the lightest vacuum possible for extended overhead cleaning.
Verdict: worth considering for convenience, not just the suction number
The Xiaomi G20 Lite looks appealing because the overall package is fairly balanced: 18,000Pa suction, a 2.4kg body, a 0.55L dust bin, an illuminated electric brush and enough standard runtime for everyday cleaning in a smaller home.
Just do not buy it based on the 18,000Pa figure alone. Check the current price, warranty, accessories included in the box and replacement-filter cost. If the listing falls within a price range you are comfortable with, the G20 Lite can be a more convincing option than a generic cordless vacuum whose specifications are difficult to verify.
